Privacy & cookies
This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect that data and what your rights are.
Who we are
The data controller is ARQ Sport Ltd, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, email contact@corsairpadel.com.
What we collect
- Order information: your name, delivery address, email address and order details. We use this to fulfil your order and to meet our accounting obligations. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract.
- Payment information: handled entirely by Shopify. Your card details are never entered on this site and we never see or store them.
- Correspondence: emails you send us, kept so we have context if you contact us again. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest.
- Mailing list: your email address, if you register, with the time you registered and which link or advertisement brought you to us. We use the address to send you access to a series before release and news of future Corsair releases. Our lawful basis is consent, which you can withdraw at any time from any email we send.
Cookies
We use two categories of cookie and similar technology.
- Functional (always on): these are needed for the site to work. We use your browser’s local storage to remember your basket (under the key
corsair-cart-v2) and your cookie choice. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us. - Analytics (optional): these help us understand how the site is used so we can improve the site. They are only set if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time using the button below.
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and does not identify you: it records the page, the site that linked to it, the type of browser and the country.
We do not use advertising cookies. We do not sell or share your data for marketing.
Third parties
Three third parties receive data when you use this site. Google Fonts serves the typefaces, which means Google receives your IP address and browser details in order to return the font files. Shopify processes your payment and sets separate cookies on Shopify’s own checkout pages, under Shopify’s own privacy policy. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a newsletter sign-up comes from a person rather than a bot, which means Cloudflare receives your IP address and browser details; Turnstile does not set advertising cookies.
How long we keep your data
- Order records: 6 years, as required by tax law
- Correspondence: 2 years from your last message
- Mailing list: until you unsubscribe
Who we share your data with
Our delivery carrier, so they can deliver your order; Shopify, so they can process your payment; and our email provider, which holds the mailing list and sends our emails on our behalf. Nobody else and never for anyone else’s marketing.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to request a copy of the data we hold about you, to have that data corrected or erased, to object to or restrict how we process that data and to have the data transferred to another provider. Email the address above and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
